New range of centrifugal drying machines

Now available from PDJ Vibro is the new ASC50 and ASC70 range of centrifugal drying machines.

Ideally suited to mass production operations where components require drying or oil separating, the compact new units can fit in to any production environment. With a tilting load and unload facility that eliminates the need for crane loading, the machines are the perfect solution for workshops with limited space.

They have variable speed controls up to 550rpm for sensitive parts, and can cater for components down to 2mm.

The baskets have a dimension of 460mm and 490mm diameter with a depth of 250mm and 320mm for the ASC50 and ASC70 respectively. This gives them capacities of 40kg and 60Kg or a theoretical volume of 41 and 60 litres. ASC50, the smaller of the two dryers, has a 2,700W drying element that is complemented by a powerful 750W motor that is capable of driving the basket at full capacity with a total installed power of 3,450W.

The rigid and robust unit has an overall weight of 200Kg for its 970mm x 780mm x 1050mm frame. The larger ASC70 encompasses a 4,200W heating element with a powerful 1,500W motor that gives a total installed power of 5700W. This sits within a 1,110mm x 830mm x 1,200mm envelope with a weight of 285Kg.

These new dryers are ideal for applications with parts that have blind holes and intricate dimensions where alternate maize dryers often leave maize remnants in the holes, leaving parts dry but dirty.

With the environment being such a key issue, an additional attribute of the PDJ Vibro ASC50 and ASC70 machines is their ability to be used as oil separating machines. As the machine rotates, oil can be separated and collected into a tray that allows the operator to place the oil or coolant back into the parts processing machine.
