New auto darkening welding filters
![]() |
The CE EN379 approved filter has a 90mm x 110mm window suitable for MIG, MMA and TIG welding down to 10A, and will fit most branded welding helmets. It has three arc sensors that enable it to catch the welding arc in even the most confined and restricted conditions. The welder can adjust the darkness shade between shades 9-13; and using the steplessly adjustable sensitivity and delay controls, the wearer is able set the filter to the appropriate level of protection for the welding process being used.
Because in certain welding applications it is necessary to vary the delay to clear after the arc has been extinguished, the delay time can be steplessly adjusted between 0.1 – 1.0 second.
A further feature of this filter is that when the arc is struck, it takes 0.4 milliseconds to switch from clear shade 4 to dark – giving the welder all-round flexibility and ensuring eye safety for a wide range of luminescent arc applications. The operating temperature range of this new product is -5°C (23°F) up to 55°C (131°F) and the filter is supplied with 2 years warranty.
