Third time lucky for Dormer sales staff

Cutting tool manufacturer Jessica Hewitt, senior administrator with Louise Stafford-Shaw, customer service manager at Dormer Tools.Dormer Tools in South Yorkshire has been awarded the Investors in People accreditation for the third time in less than ten years.

Dormer Tools sales team was first accredited in 2001 and has successfully renewed its endorsement after providing staff benefits and training opportunities for its workforce of 27 people.

Jessica Hewitt, senior administrator at Dormer Tools, said: 'It's great that we have had our accreditation renewed for the third time. Dormer is a fantastic place to work, its like one big family. The staff believe in the company and what they do which is so important.'

As part of the Investors in People scheme, all members of the sales team have undergone training, with the internal staff achieving NVQ level qualifications.

Jessica added: 'It is vital that you value your workforce and provide them with opportunities to progress within the company. That's what the Investors in People accreditation is all about and here at Dormer it is a priority.

'We reward our employees for their hard work and dedication by providing them with advice and guidance as well as added benefits such as a Westfield Health cash plan.

'Without staff a company can not function so it is crucial that the workforce is put first and valued sufficiently.'

Dormer Tools are based at the Advanced Manufacturing Park between Rotherham and Sheffield.

The Investors in People accreditation is awarded to businesses that have successfully developed, implemented and reviewed strategies to improve company performance.
