MWP – formerly known as Metalworking Production – is not just about metal cutting and metal forming machine tools and processes. There is now so much more, whether it is business or technology news, updates on products and services or production installations, management and technology features, or notification of exhibitions, conferences and open house events.

Every issue begins with Production World – a round-up of news from around the industry. MWP also presents the best examples of Productivity Improvements, and highlights the best New Products and Services, irrespective of the features programme.

Management issues continue to receive significant coverage. The range of subjects addressed include Lean Manufacturing; Finance; Cutting Fluid Management; Legal, Health, Safety and Environmental matters; Training; and Marketing.

There are regular roundups of news and developments from the Subcontract Sector, as well as company profiles. Acknowledging the 'make or buy' scenario, which increasingly confronts production engineers, some subcontract, outsourcing and Tier 1 stories appear within the main feature sections of the magazine.
